Travily is a great way to connect people with place. We’re focused on providing our community the most genuine experiences possible. Tourist experiences can be wonderful, but sometimes it’s tough to go deeper on limited time and budget. We look beyond the mass-produced tourist hubs toward an experience that delves deeper into the understanding of a particular place, person, lifestyle or environment. Travily provides a visual and audio feast that allows our community to experience and express a deeper understanding of our constantly evolving ecosystem and relay the importance of respect in a wonderfully diverse world. To go wherever their imagination takes them. Each month we’ll present three new in-depth stories, a featured artist, featured instagram feeds and a host of other surprises that focuse on specific places in the world. We believe in following stories that may not be the focus for a traditional travel site. You’ll see stories about fisherman in India, Salt Ponds in Hawaii, Angkor Wat tuktuk drivers. You’ll see stories about the temples of Angkor Wat as well, but what about all the signs to keep the visitors from exploring in places that they should not explore. Signs are cool. For us, that seems pretty valid. Or what about the kids selling sodas to the barrage of tourists that pour in daily, everything could be a valid exploration. The most powerful part of Travily will be having others contribute to the overall story. We’re design oriented, so we’ll keep things within a certain design sense, but having people share stories is essential. Not everything has to be personal, but taking the time to take a photo, write about your experiences, film an experience and record your surroundings make for some pretty amazing experiences. Humans have been telling stories since the beginning of time. Travily wants to keep the focus on the story. There are many ways to tell the story, but the story should be the focus. I sailed into Lumbak one day as the men were preparing to depart or Mecca. There were hundreds of people packed around the bay. The visuals alone were beyond what I had ever experienced, but the sounds are what I remember the most. We understand that
